Just imagine if we were bought up with Electric Cars we charged over night for very little money. Next day we had over 200 miles worth of charge. Then someone invented the internal combustion engine. Sales pitch would be hard. This new car will never beat an electric car on acceleration it will churn out poisonous fumes and have hundreds of moving parts that can go wrong. You will have to go out of your way to fill it up then pay a fortune for the pleasure. You will though be able to go a few hundred miles more than in an electric car. Buy my car and pollute the earth.
I remember when you couldn’t travel much more than 200 miles in a petrol car and was constantly going out of your way to fill it up. We have a home charger for our EV and can charge fully for approx £15. How many petrol and diesel cars can do that? Service costs are minimal as there’s not much that can go wrong and the oil and filters, clutch etc don’t need changing. I’m also not polluting at road level where pedestrians are. Makes me feel that I’m doing some better for other people
