“Had a home charger fitted today, Stuart was really friendly and fitted the charger in such a short amount of time. He was really helpful with advising how it would all work once fitted. Arranging the installation was easy, too.”
“Received an absolutely brilliant quote because I was providing my own materials. Scott from Able came out and did a fantastic, clean-looking install for my EV charger, and it all functioned correctly. Would happily recommend them.”

EV chargers in Stratford-upon-Avon: your questions answered
Got a question that isn't here? Ring us. Our directors answer calls 24/7.
Do you install chargers in Stratford-upon-Avon?
Yes. Our team fits workplace, car park and home chargers across Stratford-upon-Avon, Tiddington, Shottery, Bishopton, Clifford Chambers, Welford-on-Avon and Wilmcote. Your local number is 02476 309621.
Can a holiday let offer charging?
Yes. A smart charger can be set up so guests pay for what they use, or you include it in the booking.
Can hotels get a grant?
Staff charging can be funded at up to £500 per socket. Guest chargers are usually pay-as-you-go.
Can you install around bookings?
Yes. We plan the work for quieter times and keep the car park open.
Can a business claim a grant for chargers?
Yes. The OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme pays up to £500 per socket, for up to 40 sockets, to businesses, charities and public bodies. State-funded schools can claim up to £2,000 per socket. The schemes run until 31 March 2027, and we handle the installer side of the claim.
Can I get a grant for a charger at home?
Only in some cases. Renters, and people who own and live in a flat, can get up to £500 if they have private off-street parking. Homeowners in houses can't claim at the moment, but charging overnight on an EV tariff keeps the running costs very low.
Which charger should I choose?
It depends on your car, your tariff and whether you have solar. We fit all the major brands and most often recommend Rolec, Ohme, VCHRGD, Tesla, Andersen and myenergi zappi. For businesses we'll also suggest the right app for access control and payments.
Will my electricity supply be big enough?
We check your supply, main fuse and earthing before quoting. Most homes are fine for a 7kW charger. On commercial sites we use load management to share the power, so you can often fit more chargers without an upgrade. If one is needed, we deal with the network operator.
How long does installation take?
A standard home charger is normally fitted in one visit. Commercial jobs depend on the number of chargers and any groundworks, and we agree a plan with you first, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Tethered or untethered?
A tethered charger has its cable fixed on, which is handy for one car. An untethered one has a socket, so it looks tidier and works with any car using its own cable. Businesses with mixed vehicles usually go untethered.
How do I get a price?
Fill in the form or call your local team. Photos of your parking space and fuse board often let us price a job in Stratford-upon-Avon without visiting, and you'll get a clear, fixed quote with any grant shown.
